The Chemnitz Local Court has issued an arrest warrant for AfD Member of the Bundestag Maximilian Krah. As a court spokeswoman confirmed, authorities are currently reviewing whether to request the waiver of Krah’s immunity as a member of the Bundestag, which is necessary for the arrest warrant to be executed. This follows a report by *Der Spiegel*. According to the report, the arrest warrant stems from a legal dispute between Krah and satirist Jan Böhmermann over remarks Böhmermann made in a podcast.
Krah Announces Payment of Outstanding Debt
In response to an inquiry from the German Press Agency, Krah stated that he had already paid in January in the legal dispute with Böhmermann and had now asked his lawyer for clarification. “Apparently, this concerns an additional small amount in costs, which I will now pay,” he added. He considers Böhmermann a “creep” and will therefore only pay after reviewing the matter—“reserving the right to seek reimbursement.”
