Numerous election posters from various parties were damaged at the weekend in the Zwickau and Vogtland districts. In addition, fake CDU election posters with false slogans were put into circulation in the Free State, the police announced on Monday. According to the report, unknown persons caused damage in the high three-digit range to a total of 53 posters. Among those affected were posters for the CDU, SPD, Green and Left parties. In Zwickau, three posters were set on fire and a swastika was painted on another. The criminal investigation department is investigating.
