In future, the Saxon police are to be better prepared to deal with anti-Semitism. To this end, the Saxon Ministry of the Interior and the Saxon Association of Jewish Communities have concluded a cooperation agreement, as announced by the ministry. The aim is to counter anti-Semitic attitudes and crimes more effectively and to strengthen Jewish life in the Free State.
The core of the agreement is an educational offer for the police in Saxony. In the coming months, a total of ten full-day workshops are to be held at the Saxon Police University of Applied Sciences (FH) for prospective police commissioners and police master trainees. The aim is to impart knowledge about manifestations and ideologies of anti-Semitism and to strengthen the police's ability to act sensitively when dealing with those affected.
