During the raid against a right-wing extremist publishing house, the police have seized Nazi devotional objects, propaganda materials, electronic data carriers and other evidence. A total of ten homes and business premises in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Brandenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Saxony as well as four other premises in Spain and Poland were searched, according to the Karlsruhe public prosecutor's office and the Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Police Office (LKA).
The right-wing extremist publishing house "Der Schelm" has reportedly been the focus of investigative authorities for several years. Among other things, it is said to distribute publications with anti-Semitic and inciting content as well as writings that deny the Holocaust.
The public prosecutor's office is investigating eight suspects, primarily on suspicion of incitement to hatred in at least 488 cases, according to reports. The 61-year-old main suspect is currently believed to be in Russia.
