Several CDU offices in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia have been renamed on Google Maps by unknown persons and can be found there under the name "Eierhaus", among others. In addition to offices in Eisleben (Saxony-Anhalt), Delitzsch (Saxony) and Erfurt (Thuringia), the state parliament in Dresden also appeared under a new name. The CDU parliamentary group in the state parliament did not officially comment on this when asked.
This form of "renaming" also appeared in other parts of Germany. The Hamburg CDU headquarters, for example, was also caught out, with the name "CDU Eierhaus" appearing in the address line. Westdeutscher Rundfunk and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung had previously reported on this.
However, the names of the offices in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia were not uniformly changed to "Eierhaus". In Erfurt, for example, the term "Eierladen" appeared, while in Eisleben the name was changed to "Eierverband". The office of the North Saxony district association was briefly referred to as the "roe-brown egg house", but then quickly reappeared under its correct name.
