A visit to the indoor pools in the Saxon state capital of Dresden will be slightly more expensive next year. From January 1, 2026, guests will have to pay 50 cents more across all pools in the city of Dresden, as announced by Dresdner Bäder GmbH. Only in the Nordbad will the price for children remain the same. The prices in the indoor pools in Leipzig and Chemnitz will not change.
In Leipzig, the prices have been increased this year, the Leipziger Versorgungs- und Verkehrsgesellschaft announced on request. As they plan on a two-year cycle, no price changes are planned for 2026.
In Chemnitz, too, visitors to the indoor pools will not have to pay more next year. The last price adjustment in the city's indoor swimming pools was made in June 2024, it was reported on request. The prices in the outdoor pools were raised at the start of the 2025 outdoor season. "This means that no price adjustment is currently planned for 2026," it said.
The reasons for the price increase in the state capital are general inflation, increased personnel costs and additional financial expenses for materials and transportation, it said. From the start of 2026, special early swimming tariffs will also be abolished and will be identical to the entry tariffs for 1 hour or 1.5 hours.
