Kraushaar still sees room for improvement in structural change in Lusatia. What the Infrastructure Minister expects from the federal government.

Saxon Infrastructure Minister Regina Kraushaar (CDU) is calling for more commitment from the federal government in supporting structural change in Lusatia. The CDU politician told MDR Aktuell that she does not often see "the top federal executives responsible for structural change here in the state".

The Infrastructure Minister also pointed out that the implementation of the phase-out of lignite is a process that will take years. "So you can't say that everything is going great in Lusatia because we haven't even implemented many of the projects yet," said Kraushaar.

The CDU politician had recently called on the Bundestag to swiftly deal with the construction of the new railroad line from Dresden to Prague. The project aims to reduce the travel time between the two cities from the current two and a half hours to one hour.
