Bäcker Lampe, a bakery company operating in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia, has filed for insolvency and initiated restructuring proceedings. Business operations and all branches will remain open, according to insolvency administrator Frank Kreuznacht. The wages and salaries of the approximately 280 employees will be covered by the Employment Agency until the end of July.
The company has its headquarters and production facility in Roßleben-Wiehe, Thuringia, and currently operates 44 branches in Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony, and Thuringia. According to the information provided, the business is family-owned and is being run by the sixth generation of family members.
“The proceedings have no impact on our day-to-day business,” explained Managing Director and Master Baker André Lampe. “We’re continuing to bake as usual; all our branches and cafés remain open, and our customers can still get their rolls, bread, and cakes there as usual.”
