“During the dramatic job losses 30 years ago, small and medium-sized enterprises in Upper Lusatia found an opportunity in the supplier industry for automakers,” Schiemann emphasized. Due to mistakes made at the corporate leadership level during the transition to electric mobility, 300 jobs have already been lost in Upper Lusatia. Companies such as Motorenwerk Cunewalde, PCS Cunewalde, and Werkzeugbau Doberschau have been shut down.
