The Autobahn 38 south of Leipzig needs to be repaired. From April to December, the roadway in the direction of Dresden between the Neue Harth and Leipzig-Südost junctions is to be renewed, according to the federal government's Autobahn GmbH. The crash barriers will also be replaced and bridge structures repaired. The construction measures cost around 15 million euros.
Drivers will have to be prepared for restrictions. Some traffic will be guided past the construction site on the opposite carriageway. Speed will be limited to 80 km/h for safety reasons. In July, the Leipzig freeway junction will also have to be partially closed due to the road renewal.
