Ducks on the A4 and cow chaos in Frankenthal: the Görlitz police have been called out several times to animal-related incidents. Officers were called to Frankenthal three times because of escaped cows. On Thursday morning, 150 young cattle had to be brought back to their paddock after an excursion, according to the police.
Night-time wandering and morning walk
Another 20 animals went "wandering" on Friday night. They damaged three cars in the process. The police estimate the damage at 2,550 euros. After the exertion, the cows made themselves comfortable, they said. They could only be brought back to their pasture in the morning. Around 50 cattle then went for a "morning walk" and were brought back to their paddock before the police arrived.
The police's positive assessment of the operations: "All four-legged friends survived the walk well."
