During the summer vacation, drivers spent less time stuck in traffic jams on Saxony’s highways than they did the previous year. According to ADAC Saxony, the total duration of traffic jams was about 218 hours less than during the 2025 vacation period.
The number and total length of traffic jams also decreased compared to the previous year, according to the automobile club. From July 6 to August 16, ADAC Saxony recorded a total of 2,000 traffic jams—44 fewer than during the corresponding vacation period in 2025. Collectively, they spanned 2,522 kilometers, compared to 2,780 kilometers the previous year. However, according to the ADAC’s counting method, there were also more traffic jams on certain highways than in the previous year, the report stated.
