A cable theft in Saxony-Anhalt is disrupting train services between Leipzig and Erfurt. Due to the theft, there was a signal disruption near Dörstewitz, a village in the municipality of Schkopau, a spokeswoman for the railroad announced. Trains were diverted via Naumburg and some Sprinter trains on the route between Berlin and Munich were canceled.
Technicians are on site to rectify the disruption. However, according to Deutsche Bahn, the restrictions are likely to continue until Wednesday.
