Frost and freezing rain could cause icy and dangerous road conditions on Tuesday morning. The German Weather Service (DWD) is warning of icy conditions in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia in the early hours of the morning. According to the report, there will be widespread light frost with temperatures around freezing point, down to minus five degrees Celsius in the mountains.
In the course of the day, it will be significantly warmer than in the past few days: In partly cloudy conditions, highs will reach 13 degrees in Saxony and Thuringia and 14 degrees in Saxony-Anhalt. It will remain somewhat cooler at higher altitudes. According to the DWD, temperatures will also drop into the minus range again in the coming night.
