Three people have been injured in an accident on the A9 near Leipzig. According to the highway police, they were in a car heading towards Berlin when they lost control of the vehicle between the Leipzig-West and Großkugel junctions and drove off the road. According to current investigations, the reason for the accident was aquaplaning. It is currently unclear how serious her injuries are, according to a police spokesperson. A rescue helicopter was deployed. The lane in the direction of Berlin is currently closed, but should be reopened shortly, according to police.
