On the occasion of the "Day against Noise" campaign day, those affected by noise in Saxony can once again call for help on Wednesday. But where can you call? And what is noise anyway? Affected people and those seeking help can describe their problems to the Saxon State Office for the Environment, Agriculture and Geology on Wednesday. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., experts will be on hand to offer advice on +49 351 2612 5252. According to the ministry, problems cannot be solved directly over the phone. Instead, the aim is to show ways in which the noise problem can be solved. Noise has different sources: Cars outside the window, a railroad line, a soccer pitch or a drill. The "Day against Noise" is a campaign by the German Society for Acoustics (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Akustik e. V.), which is calling on people to be quiet for 15 seconds at exactly 2.15 pm on Wednesday. Copyright 2026, dpa (www.dpa.de). All rights reservedThis number provides advice against noise
