Dutch national team player Lutsharel Geertruida is being loaned by RB Leipzig to PSV Eindhoven. The Saxon Bundesliga club announced this ahead of this Saturday’s competitive match (6:00 p.m./Sky) in the DFB Cup against Regionalliga club Eintracht Trier. This time, the 26-year-old right back’s renewed loan could turn into a permanent transfer, as the Dutch champions have secured a purchase option.
Geertruida joined the Saxon club from Feyenoord Rotterdam in the summer of 2024 and has made 35 competitive appearances in an RB jersey. Last season, the versatile defender played on loan for AFC Sunderland in the Premier League.
He is now returning to the Eredivisie after coming up through the youth ranks at Feyenoord Rotterdam and making it to the first team there before moving to Leipzig. He still has a valid contract with RB through the summer of 2029.
