Benjamin Henrichs, who has been injured for a long time, has not yet ticked off his participation in the World Cup and apparently draws hope from a mysterious telephone conversation with the national coach. "But I'm confident that I can still jump on the World Cup bandwagon. I'll give it my all, day in, day out," the RB Leipzig professional told Kicker.
Henrichs was out of action from December 2024 to January 2026 with a torn Achilles tendon. Since then, he has made ten appearances for Leipzig, but has only started twice. "My performances when I came on as a substitute were decent, but in terms of pure playing time, I need to get more to be considered for the national team again," said Henrichs.
