RB Leipzig has signed a talented Belgian goalkeeper. Aude Waldbillig, an 18-year-old from RSC Anderlecht, has joined the Bundesliga club. The 1.76-meter-tall keeper has signed a contract until 30 June 2029.
"She is one of the most exciting goalkeepers in Europe in her age group and fits in perfectly with our sporting concept. Aude already impresses with her strong spatial defense and is also very well trained with the ball at her feet," said Viola Odebrecht, Head of Women's and Girls' Football at RB.
Waldbillig played for Belgium's junior national teams and is currently goalkeeper for the U23s. In 2024, she was in goal at the U17 European Championships. She has already made 39 appearances for the professional team at Anderlecht. Last Sunday, she also made it to the national cup final.
RB had just extended the contract of regular goalkeeper Elvira Herzog until 2028. The 26-year-old Swiss international joined Leipzig from 1. FC Köln in the summer of 2022.
