Under the motto "Kidical Mass - Streets are for everyone!", a gathering will take place on Sunday, May 18, to draw attention to the importance of safe streets for all road users. This event attracts up to 1,000 participants.
The planned bike parade will start at Simsonplatz and run through the streets of Leipzig, including Wächterstraße, Wilhelm-Seyfferth-Straße and Beethovenstraße. The route also includes central road sections such as Harkortstraße, Martin-Luther-Ring and Dittrichring in the inner ring road.
Road users should expect restrictions between 3 and 4 pm, as the demonstration may affect ongoing traffic. The aim of the Kidical Mass is to raise awareness of the need for safe and accessible roads, especially for young and vulnerable road users.
The route ends again at Simsonplatz after a circuit through numerous central streets in the city. Participation in the Kidical Mass sends a strong signal to politicians and the public for better urban mobility.
