The BSV Sachsen Zwickau women's handball team started the new season with a defeat. The charges of coach Norman Rentsch lost their home match against HSG Blomberg-Lippe on Saturday clearly with 20:32 (12:13). Lisa Rajes, Nieke Kühne (5 each) and Malina Marie Michalczik (5/2) played the biggest part in the guests' success. For Zwickau Simona Stojkovska (5) and Rita Lakatos (4) scored the most goals.
The Zwickauerinnen could offer only in the first half to the opponent paroli and lay with 7:6 (14.) for the last time in this game in the lead. Up to 15:16 (36.) the hosts remained on touching distance broke then however in the following 15 minutes completely. With a 12:1 run Blomberg pulled away to 28:16 (51.). In this phase, the hosts failed to score against HSG goalkeeper Melanie Veith or didn't have the necessary luck on their side with post shots.
