Winner type Müller in Leipzig in front of next record mark

Thomas Müller is used to winning at FC Bayern. In the top match of the Bundesliga, however, the Munich international can possibly celebrate a special mark of success in his career on Saturday (6:30 p.m./Sky), the 322nd victory in Germany's top division.

The Ur-Bayer most recently celebrated victory number 321 in a 7-0 win over VfL Bochum.Müller, who was absent from Bayern's cup win in Münster after suffering a strain during the week, is now expected to rejoin the squad of the German record champions in Leipzig. And the 34-year-old attacker could draw level with teammate and record holder Manuel Neuer in his 448th Bundesliga appearance.

The Bayern goalkeeper, who is not yet fit for action again after breaking his leg, has 322 victories in 478 Bundesliga games for Bayern and Schalke. Since Neuer will be back in the Bayern goal in October at the earliest, Müller could replace him by then as the sole record holder.

Only recently had Müller reached a milestone in the Champions League. In the 4:3 against Manchester, he became the first German player to reach the mark of 100 wins in Europe's premier league. The hundred mark cracked before Müller only Portugal's star Cristiano Ronaldo (115 wins) and Real Madrid's goalkeeping legend Iker Casillas (101).
