The Thuringian Bundesliga women's handball team, who got off to a weak start to the season, let their frustration get the better of them in Göppingen. The goalscorer once again shines in the first away win.

The women's handball club Thüringer HC has halted its losing streak in the German league. After three games without a win, the team of Head Coach Herbert Müller prevailed 39:33 (21:15) at Frisch Auf Göppingen on Saturday evening after a brilliant performance in offense and celebrated its first away win of the season. In front of 1,866 spectators, Johanna Reichert was the best scorer for THC, which now has 5:5 points with eleven goals.

The club from Thuringia missed the start and quickly trailed 3:6 (9th minute). They then got a better grip in defense and developed far more drive on goal in attack. They produced a 9:2 run to take a 12:8 lead within ten minutes, which they extended to six goals by the break in an open exchange of blows.

The home side was also unable to find a way out in defense against the playful THC after the break and led by double digits for the first time (27:17 in the 37th minute). After that, the Thuringians lost a little concentration, but their clear victory was not jeopardized.
