Shock in stoppage time: Bayern's title party postponed

Klostermann's rare stroke of luck

After Olise lost the ball, Xavi Simons sent Benjamin Sesko towards the Bayern goal. The indecisive Jonas Urbig was standing around 25 meters in front of the goal and, to make matters worse, he slipped. Sesko showed off all his technique, putting the ball into the net from a good 30 meters out with his far post. A short time later, the Slovenian could have added to his tally after a counter-attack, but his shot from the edge of the box was too central.

However, Klostermann, who is highly unsuspicious when it comes to scoring goals, provided rare ecstasy. David Raum delivered a free-kick from a half-left position into the Bayern penalty area, Klostermann met it perfectly with his head and headed the ball into the goal against Urbig's direction of travel.

Bayern lacked the really big chances despite dominating the game, although Leipzig also allowed them to do so. Serge Gnabry came closest in the first period, but his header from a corner flew well over the goal.

Bayern strike twice

Aleksandar Pavlovic (51) did a little better, but his header was also harmless in the end. Bayern now wanted it, but Leipzig put up a fight. The game became rougher and gained momentum. Leipzig still managed to remain compact in defense and keep up with all the running duels. However, the Saxons had already squandered leads more often this season.

The only thing Bayern lacked was the chances they created. Joshua Kimmich (60') tried from 20 meters, but the ball flew well over. Then it was over for Thomas Müller, the Bayern icon was replaced by Kingsley Coman (61st).

Immediately afterwards, it happened - twice. First, Dier was just right at the near post after an Olise corner. Bayern were there again immediately after the RB kick-off, Gnabry served Olise, who scored effortlessly into the far corner. Ex-Leipzig player Konrad Laimer (69), of all people, had the complete turnaround on his head, but the ball flew over the goal. Coman (76) appeared completely free in front of RB keeper Maarten Vandevoordt, but then put the ball too far in front of him.
