RB Leipzig are traveling to Donaueschingen for a week-long training camp with an oversized squad. At the same time, a swap deal with Chelsea FC could be in the offing.

Bundesliga club RB Leipzig is holding its training camp with a total of 33 professionals. New coach Ole Werner's team will be preparing intensively for the new season in Donaueschingen until July 30. The program also includes a test match against French first division side FC Toulouse in Villingen-Schwenningen on Saturday (3.30 pm), as the club announced.

The squad also includes players for whom coach Werner has no use and who should leave the club as soon as possible. In addition to Andre Silva, Eljif Elmas and Timo Werner, Xavi Simons, who is keen to move, will also travel to Baden-Württemberg.

Sky: Leipzig interested in Chelsea's Chukwuemeka

The 22-year-old Dutchman, who has expressed his desire to move to the management team since May, has been in contact with Chelsea FC as well as Bayern Munich. His brother and manager is said to have already held talks with the club's World Cup winner.

This could lead to a swap. According to Sky, Leipzig have signaled their interest in Carney Chukwuemeka. The 21-year-old was loaned out to Borussia Dortmund in the second half of last season and also played for the Westphalians during the Club World Cup.

Dortmund are still interested in the attacking midfielder, but had rejected a purchase. BVB favors another loan. Now the personnel issue is picking up speed with Leipzig's interest.
