RB Leipzig are no longer ruling out winter transfers. In view of the massive injury absences with up to eight players recently, something could well happen in the transfer period from 3 January. "We will definitely sit down and talk about it. A lot of work is already being done in the background and of course we'll see if certain things make sense," said coach Marco Rose ahead of the Bundesliga top match against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday (7.30pm/DAZN).
The squad is big enough if all players are fit and even if three or four players are out, said Rose. "But after four - and we've always had between eight and ten recently - then things start to get tight. But you can't plan a squad after that. Now the situation is as it is and accordingly we'll keep our eyes open and discuss such personnel matters," emphasized the coach.
