RB Leipzig started the top match of the Bundesliga against Borussia Mönchengladbach with striker Yussuf Poulsen. Marco Rose, who can break the 100-point mark as RB coach against his former club, opted for a change up front after the 1-0 defeat in the Champions League against Real Madrid and brought on Poulsen for Benjamin Sesko. Rose made a second change in defense. He brought on Amadou Haidara for Mohamed Simakan, who will play in defensive midfield alongside Xaver Schlager.
Gladbach coach Gerardo Seoane, on the other hand, will be without Alassane Plea (bone bruise). Florian Neuhaus also has muscular problems and is out. Gladbach have never won in Leipzig and are still winless in the second half of the season. The visitors have managed just one win from their last eight games in the league.
