RB Leipzig are on the verge of signing Belgian international Arthur Vermeeren from Atlético Madrid. According to media reports, the Bundesliga club will be obliged to buy Vermeeren after he has made 15 appearances. The 19-year-old has currently played 13 games in all competitions. In addition to the loan fee of three million euros, an additional 20 million euros will be due for the permanent signing.
Vermeeren has a contract in Leipzig until 2029. The central midfielder has been improving his form in recent weeks, earning many minutes of action. Vermeeren only missed out in the 3-1 defeat to Celtic Glasgow in the Champions League. In the recent 0-0 draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach, the four-time international was one of Leipzig's best players.
