Willi Orban sees the squad consistency at Bundesliga club RB Leipzig as a potential advantage. "You have automatisms that you take with you into the new season. We haven't had as much upheaval as last season. We have a good squad together. There are a lot of guys who are in high demand internationally, so we don't have to hide from anyone and can go into the season with optimism," said Orban on Wednesday after training.
The basic structure of the team is in place, even if it remains to be seen what will happen with attacking players Dani Olmo and Xavi Simons. "We'll see what happens in the next few days. But we have guys behind them with brutal quality who are ready to take the next step," said Orban, naming Christoph Baumgartner and Eljif Elmas.
