The sports court of the German Football Association has fined two-division club Dynamo Dresden 100,350 euros for the unsportsmanlike conduct of its supporters. However, the Saxons lodged an appeal against the decision, as announced by the DFB.
What happened?
During the third-division match against Waldhof Mannheim on May 10, 2025 - Dynamo clinched promotion that day - several Dresden spectators had entered the stadium during the closing stages. The match was then interrupted for a few minutes "in order to prevent a clash with Mannheim supporters who had also entered the stadium", as the DFB wrote in a statement.
In addition, hundreds of Dresden fans stormed the pitch after the final whistle. "A smoke grenade was thrown in the direction of a police officer, and Dresden supporters also fired at least ten rockets in the direction of Mannheim supporters and police and stewards," the DFB announced.
