The negative streak of the Syntaininc MBC in the German Basketball League continues unabated. The team of Head Coach Marco Ramondino was also beaten by the Rostock Seawolves and conceded its sixth defeat in succession and ninth in its 16th game with a 77:84 (34:37) victory. The visitors' best scorer was Charles Callison (32 points).
While the Seawolves were still without Robin Amaize, Oshane Drews and Andy van Vliet, the visitors were missing Kyrie Thomas and RJ Gunn through injury. In addition, the MBC announced a few hours before the start of the game that John Bryant would no longer be part of the squad. However, Rostock, which has had to do without its key players for some time, was the dominant team for a long time before the break. However, Jure Planinic tied the scores at 31:31 with a half-distance shot.
Rostock also proved to be the more effective team in the third period and was 62:52 ahead going into the final period. However, that did not decide the game. Instead, the MBC dominated at the start of the fourth quarter and fought its way back to 68:69. However, the club from Mecklenburg repeatedly managed to free itself from difficult situations in the fiercely contested final spell and so successfully kept the visitors at bay until the end.
