On Härtel's debut: Aue draw in test against Ulm

Jens Härtel has been in charge of Erzgebirge Aue's footballers since the beginning of the year. The ambitious third division club is now preparing for the start of the second half of the season at a training camp in Turkey.

Third-division soccer club Erzgebirge Aue drew their first match under new coach Jens Härtel. The successor to Pavel Dotchev led the Veilchen to a 2:2 (1:2) draw in a test against second-division side SSV Ulm five days after taking office.

In the duel at the Güzeloba Stadium near Belek, which lasted two 60-minute periods, Sean Seitz (4th minute) put the Saxons ahead in front of over 200 fans before Maurice Krattenmacher (11th) equalized and Semir Telalovic (30th) made it 1-2. In the second half, Omar Sijaric (75) equalized with a lot of assertiveness.

Before the second half of the season kicks off at Hannover 96 II on January 17 (19:00/MagentaSport), Aue will play another test this Friday against Swiss second division side FC Aarau (16:00), who, like the two German clubs, are currently at their winter training camp on the Turkish Rivera.
