The Chemnitz Bundesliga basketball team falls behind after a strong start in Frankfurt, but fights back impressively. In the end, a spectacular shot decides the game.

The Niners Chemnitz basketball team narrowly missed out on their first Bundesliga win of the new year. The team of Head Coach Rodrigo Pastore lost 86:89 (45:49) at Frankfurt Skyliners. Isaiah Swope drained a difficult three-pointer on the buzzer to seal victory for the home side. Kevin Yebo was the best scorer for the Niners, who now have a 14:16 record, with 25 points.

Three days after its 78:70 victory in the Eurocup in London, Chemnitz began confidently and built a 28:22 lead after ten minutes with its variable attacking play. However, the visitors' play then became increasingly static. Frankfurt took control and, led by international player Till Pape, pulled 56:49 ahead in the 26th minute.

However, the Niners did not give up, found their rhythm in offense again and tied the scores at 84:84 through Yebo with 48 seconds remaining. After free throws on both sides, Frankfurt had 3.9 seconds left for the last shot. Despite heavy pressure, Swope scored with the help of the board to make the final score 89:86.
