Bundesliga basketball club Niners Chemnitz has announced its next new signing. The 25-year-old American Robert Eugene Beran Jr. is moving to Chemnitz from Belgian first division club Kortrijk Spurs and has signed a contract until 2026 including an option for a further season. The 2.04-metre tall, 98-kilogram basketball player can play as a small forward or power forward.
In his career to date, he has impressed above all with his accuracy from the perimeter and committed defensive work. Last season, Beran played in Kortrijk alongside John Newman, whose services the Niners had already secured a few weeks ago, and also met his future teammate Yordan Minchev in the Belgian-Dutch BNXT League.
With these three players as well as Kaza Kajami-Keane, Ty Brewer, Corey Davis and Amadou Sow, Chemnitz has already signed seven foreign players for next season.
