Newcastle or Manchester? The Slovenian was spoiled for choice. He will probably go to Old Trafford.

Benjamin Sesko is set to leave RB Leipzig for Manchester United. According to reports from transfer experts and the German newspaper "Bild", the Slovenian has decided against the offer from Champions League contender Newcastle United and in favor of the traditional club.

According to reports, both clubs had submitted similarly strong offers to RB, which are said to be around 85 million euros with bonus payments. Final negotiations on the exact transfer formalities have yet to take place. Representatives of Newcastle and Manchester United are said to have already been in Leipzig for several days.

Sesko had probably always favored a move to Manchester, although the club, like RB, will not be playing internationally next season. United's director of professional soccer, Christopher Vivell, would celebrate a hat-trick with a transfer of Sesko: He once brought the Slovenian to RB Salzburg (2019), then four years later to Leipzig.

RB in advanced negotiations with Liverpool youngster Elliott

While RB are still keeping a low profile regarding Sesko, work is already underway in the background on the next important addition. Harvey Elliott from Liverpool FC is reportedly on the Saxons' wish list. The young international, voted best player of the tournament at the U21 European Championships, does not have much of a future with the Reds. RB global soccer boss Jürgen Klopp once made Elliot a professional at Liverpool and is probably closely involved in the negotiations.

However, a signing can only be made once RB have made further departures clear. Xavi Simons in particular is expected to bring in the necessary millions. His transfer to Chelsea FC is stalling, as the English club still has to generate revenue. At least 80 million euros have been called for the Dutchman.
