Norwegian World Cup goalkeeper Örjan Nyland is set to make his second stint in Leipzig. Once again, he’ll be the backup goalkeeper.

According to a media report, Bundesliga club RB Leipzig has found a replacement for goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi, who is looking to leave the club. According to “Sky,” Örjan Nyland, who is currently a free agent, is returning to the Saxony-based club and is expected to join RB’s training camp in Saalfelden, Austria, as soon as possible.

The Norwegian World Cup goalkeeper previously played for Leipzig between October 2022 and August 2023 and is available on a free transfer. Until the end of last season, the 35-year-old was the goalkeeper for the historic Spanish club FC Sevilla. Nyland is now set to take Gulacsi’s position as the number two behind Maarten Vandervoordt.

Gulacsi has been granted leave to hold contract talks with FC Villarreal. The RB veteran, who has been with the club for eleven years, has reached an agreement with the Spanish club on a two-year contract. According to consistent reports, the transfer fee is expected to be between 1.5 and 2 million euros.
