On the way to Aue for the game against Tasmania Berlin, the away tickets for FC Erzgebirge fans went missing. “Dear FC Erzgebirge Aue fans, it is with great regret that we must inform you that the ticket package we sent from Berlin to Aue was lost in the mail,” the Berlin Regionalliga club wrote on Instagram. According to “Kicker,” approximately 500 tickets are involved.
As a result, tickets cannot be purchased in advance in Aue, the club said. Tickets for the visitors’ section will be available on match day, Friday (7:00 p.m.), exclusively at the box offices of the Werner-Seelenbinder-Sportpark in Neukölln. To keep wait times as short as possible, four ticket windows will be open. “Thank you very much for your understanding, and have a safe trip!” the club wrote.
It’s unclear exactly what happened to the tickets. “No one knows where the package is. We dropped it off at the Auer office; there’s a signature confirming receipt—and yet it’s still missing,” Tasmania chairman Almir Numic told *Kicker*. The Saxon club’s website stated that the “tickets apparently got lost in the mail.”
