RB Leipzig coach Ole Werner does not shy away from spying tricks when preparing for the next match. At least when the opponent has changed coach immediately before the clash with the Bundesliga club.
"We've also sent people out who have gone into the bushes or flown a drone from a great distance - but with varying degrees of success, I have to say," Werner told the Leipziger Volkszeitung newspaper. He was apparently referring to his time at another club, as there has not yet been a last-minute change of coach before a Leipzig game this season.
In the coming week, RB will host Union Berlin on Friday evening with new coach Marie-Louise Eta. "That changes things for us. This time we still have a weekend in between," said Werner. The 37-year-old knows Eta better than many of his colleagues. "I know her quite well, as she was a trainee with me in Bremen. She's very clever, smart and a good coach."
