Handball Bundesliga club SC DHfK Leipzig has responded to Luka Rogan's injury by signing Tim Hertzfeld on a second-team deal. The pivot comes from second-division club Dessau-Roßlauer HV 06 and will be in the squad for the first time for the home season opener against TBV Lemgo Lippe on Thursday.
The 21-year-old, who is 1.97 meters tall, comes from the youth ranks of SC Magdeburg and has already made his debut in the Bundesliga there. He moved to Dessau in the summer of 2023, where he quickly developed into a mainstay. The junior international has scored 84 goals in 58 second division games to date and extended his contract with the DRHV for a further two years in November 2024.
