RB Leipzig had to do without three professionals at the start of training for the home match against 1 FC Cologne on matchday four of the Bundesliga. Johan Bakayoko, Lukas Klostermann and Viggo Gebel were missing for coach Ole Werner on the first day of preparation ahead of the game at the Red Bull Arena on Saturday (18:30/Sky). Leipzig are seventh with six points after three games - one point behind the third-placed team from the cathedral city.
New signing Bakayoko is suffering from a slight infection, while Klostermann and Gebel were cited as the reason for their absence. RB already had two absentees on Monday, Xaver Schlager and Antonio Nusa, who will definitely miss out against Cologne.
The Austrian international picked up a muscle injury in his right calf in Mainz. The midfielder was substituted in the 32nd minute of last Saturday's 1-0 win at FSV Mainz 05, while the 20-year-old Norwegian broke his right forearm in the game. Leipzig announced that the downtime for both players would depend on the healing process.
