The RB Leipzig women's Bundesliga team is bolstering its offense for the upcoming season. Swedish forward Therese Simonsson is joining from Swiss first-division club Servette Chenois and has signed a contract through June 30, 2028, the club announced.
The 28-year-old arrives in Leipzig with an impressive track record. Since the 2023–2024 season, the forward has won both the league title and the cup twice each, and she claimed the double last season. In the process, the Swede scored 15 goals, earning her the top scorer award. She was also named the season’s best player.
“With Therese, we’re gaining an experienced winger with a knack for scoring. She seeks out one-on-one situations in attack, poses a scoring threat, and has proven her quality as top scorer and Swiss champion,” said Viola Odebrecht, head of women’s soccer at RB. “Her composure on the ball and experience will help our young team on offense.”
