FC Hansa Rostock have continued their assault on the promotion places and ended FC Erzgebirge Aue's run of success in the process. The Baltic club won 4:1 (3:1) on the 28th matchday of the 3rd Football League.
Adrien Lebeau (3) had put Hansa ahead early on. After Ryan Naderi (15) made it 2-0, Marcel Bär (17) reduced the deficit virtually on the counter-attack. Nils Fröling (36') restored the two-goal gap, which Christian Kinsombi (87') extended with a penalty. While Hansa climbed to fifth place, FC Erzgebirge remain in tenth.
The match began with a cold shower for the visitors. Hansa's first attack was a counter-attack. Benno Dietze played in Jan Mejdr on the wing, whose precise low pass was headed into the far corner by Lebeau from the edge of the penalty area.
Auer's defending was anything but compact on quick counter-attacks in the ensuing period. That's how the 2:0 came about when Hansa goalkeeper Benjamin Uphoff found the starting Naderi with a long shot, Rosenlöcher was far too late and the Hansa striker was able to shoot in with ease.
