For RB Leipzig's Amadou Haidara, the Bundesliga season has ended prematurely. The 27-year-old midfielder suffered an inner ligament injury in his left knee. This was announced by the club following an MRI examination.
This means Haidara, who suffered the injury in training on Tuesday afternoon, will not be available for the final spurt of the season in the battle for Champions League qualification. RB face Werder Bremen this Saturday (3.30pm/Sky) and VfB Stuttgart at home a week later (3.30pm/Sky).
The Mali international is expected to be back for pre-season preparations. According to RB, the knee injury will be treated conservatively.
