Bundesliga handball club ThSV Eisenach has announced further news regarding the future of coach Misha Kaufmann following an exchange between the boards. "We have agreed that we will find a solution for all sides and announce it after the winter break. I think we will present a joint solution after the Hamburg game," said Eisenach's managing director René Witte at a press conference. The game against HSV Hamburg is on December 26. Four days earlier, the club has to face SC Magdeburg.
The first-division club recently announced that successful coach Kaufmann had asked for his contract, which runs until June 2027, to be terminated early. "After consultation with all relevant bodies and due to Misha Kaufmann's great sporting achievements, the club is complying with this request," ThSV announced. According to media reports, TBV Stuttgart will be Kaufmann's new place of work.
The 40-year-old Swiss player does not want to comment on his future. He only confirmed that there had been "purposeful talks". "It was very important that we talked. What is important, and I would like to emphasize this, is that we concentrate on the essentials, which is the sport in Eisenach, so that we can be as successful as possible."
