The explosive duel between the rival regional league clubs FC Carl Zeiss Jena and Hallescher FC was interrupted for almost an hour. After the half-time score of 2:0 for the home team from Thuringia, fans of the visitors from Halle had tried to get into the home fans' block on Friday evening, as the club from Jena announced.
TV images on MDR showed how the fans clashed. The Halle supporters had apparently damaged a fence - and then made their way towards the opposing curve. Police officers then separated the rival fan camps. After the interruption, the match continued.
