It will only be possible to swim outdoors in the city on the Elbe for a few more days. On the other hand, indoor swimming pools will soon have longer opening hours again.

The outdoor pool season is coming to an end in Dresden. Six pools are only open until next Sunday, according to the operator. This applies to the Cossebaude reservoir pool, the Mockritz natural pool, the Wostra and Cotta open-air pools, the Langebrück forest pool and the Luftbad Dözschen open-air pool.

The season will last one week longer at a further five pools: the Georg-Arnhold-Bad, the Kombibad Prohlis, the Strandbad Wostra and the Weixdorf and Weißig bathing areas.

The extended winter opening hours will begin at the same time in the indoor pools - the staff will return from the outdoor pools. The extended opening hours already apply to the indoor pool at the Prohlis combined pool (10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily). From next Monday, the opening hours at the swimming complex on Freiberger Platz will also be extended from Mondays to Fridays until 10 p.m., with weekends also being added. The remaining indoor pools will follow from September 15, 2025.
