The handball players of ThSV Eisenach are not able to get beyond the role of a points supplier in foreign halls. The Thuringians conceded their sixth defeat in their sixth away game of the season, losing 19:28 (9:13) at TBV Lemgo-Lippe. Niels Gerardus Versteijnen (6), Samuel Zehnder (5/2) and Jan Mudrow (4) played the biggest part in the home side's success. Peter Walz (4) and Felix Aellen (4/3) scored the most goals for Eisenach. Despite their eighth defeat of the season, the club from Thuringia is still five points clear of the relegation zone.
The visitors were only able to keep up with the club from East Westphalia in the opening spell. Lemgo then pulled away from 8:8 (23') to 14:9 (33') and 18:10 (39'). The home side primarily benefited from the many technical mistakes by Eisenach. The club from Thuringia conceded nine turnovers in the first 30 minutes. In the end, the ball was lost a total of 16 times in attack. Lemgo, on the other hand, only conceded seven turnovers.
