After winning three competitive games in a row and advancing to the DHB Cup quarter-finals, the ThSV Eisenach handball team suffered a setback. The Thuringians lost their Bundesliga game at TBV Lemgo by 28:31 (13:16). Hendrik Wagner (9) and Samuel Zehnder (6/3) played the biggest part in the East Westphalians' success. Marko Grgic (8/1), Filip Vistorop (6) and Ivan Snajder (5) scored the most goals for the visitors.
The visitors were only ahead once (1:0 in the first minute) and then always had to chase a deficit. Even after going 18:22 behind in the 43rd minute, the club from Thuringia did not give up and was at least able to hope for a point until 26:27 in the 56th minute. However, the home side held its nerve in the final phase.
