Second-division soccer club Dynamo Dresden has parted ways with its managing director David Fischer ahead of schedule. "The contract, which expires on June 30, 2026, will not be extended and David Fischer will be released from his duties with immediate effect," the club stated in a press release. Fischer took up his position in Dresden on August 1, 2023.
According to the club, he helped to implement strategic developments. In addition, Dresden achieved record revenue in the marketing and merchandising area and an increase in membership to over 35,000 club members. Equity was also increased through the purchase of the Walter Fritzsch Academy. However, there were differences of opinion regarding the future direction of the club, which is why it has now parted ways immediately.
