Dresden nervous at the start

In a high-class game at eye level, the hosts got off to the better start in front of 1,466 spectators. They were very powerful on serve and in attack and were well prepared tactically in blocking and defending the court. In contrast, the DSC women played very nervously and only found their rhythm better towards the end of the first set.

The Waibl players improved in the second set, served better, increased their penetration in attack and were more stable in defense. The third set was a back-and-forth affair, with the Potsdam side ultimately securing a 2:1 set lead thanks to a strong block defense.

However, the league leaders once again showed great morale and willpower. With a lot of fighting spirit, they managed to equalize the set. The tie-break remained close and exciting right to the end, but Dresden made fewer mistakes and were able to celebrate victory after 126 minutes.
